Vimo vd Hopfenhalle
Vimo was released from quarantine on Monday, 24th of March 2008.
He has settled in very well in his new home at Babenberg Kennels.
He is available at stud to approved bitches.

Elbow Dysplasia Control Scheme conducted by the SV.

Over recent months it has become apparent that there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding relative to the grading system used by the SV in their assessment of Elbow Dysplasia.
In my position as National Breed Commission Chairman, I have received a number of emails requesting clarification of the elbow grading system in Germany. So to put the rumor and innuendo to rest I have written this article.

Gigolo's Success
Unfortunately we have been very busy since the Main Breed Show and this is the first opportunity that we have had to update our site. Immediately after the MBE we flew to Germany and Europe to view our new male that we have purchased and did a little sightseeing as well.

Promotion of the young Male
When looking at show results in Germany, the larger classes are nearly always the male classes. This is in stark contrast to the Australia show scene. The emphasis in Germany is the promotion and continuation of the male line, as a top male will have a greater influence on the Breed overall compared to that of a top bitch. Therefore breeders endeavour to breed influential males. And so they should as they rarely buy from other countries.

Hip & Elbow Results for Gigolo
Gigolo's progeny are now reaching the age for submission of Hip and Elbow X-rays for adjudication.
To date we have the results of several of his progeny with the results of many still to come back.
The results are very pleasing and emphasize his very low HDZW result in Germany.
